25 Momme Silk Bedding: Sheets, Duvet Covers and Matching Sets
SilkLuxe-25 brings together our 25 momme mulberry silk bedding: a fitted sheet, a flat sheet, a duvet cover and six sets that combine them with pillowcases. Every piece is woven from 25 momme silk, a heavier weight within the SilkLuxe line, and comes in sizes from twin to California king. This is the collection to compare when you want the whole bed in one fabric weight and color.
Why Choose 25 Momme for Bedding
A 25 momme sheet uses more silk per yard than a 19 or 22 momme sheet, which gives it a denser hand, a richer sheen and more body when it drapes over the side of the mattress. Silk is graded by momme rather than thread count, so the momme number on each listing is the one to compare. If you prefer a lighter, more fluid sheet, compare our 22 momme silk bedding before you decide.
Flat Sheet and Duvet Cover: What to Expect
The flat sheet has a plain, flat top edge without a folded cuff, and the label is sewn at the foot of the sheet, which helps you place it the right way up. The duvet cover closes with a hidden zipper along the side and has corner ties to hold your comforter in place. It is sold without pillowcases or an insert, so compare its dimensions with the comforter you already own. A cover that is too large lets the insert shift inside.
Which Set Matches How You Make Your Bed
Each set name lists what is inside, and every set includes two pillowcases. Start with the layers you sleep with now.
- Fitted sheet and two pillowcases — Silk on the surface you lie on, under the top layer you already have.
- Flat sheet and two pillowcases — A silk top sheet between you and a blanket or comforter.
- Duvet cover and two pillowcases — Changes the look of the bed while you keep your existing sheets.
- Fitted and flat sheets with two pillowcases — Both sheets and the pillowcases in one weight and color.
- Duvet cover, one sheet and two pillowcases — The fullest look, sold with either a fitted or a flat sheet.
The pillowcases in these sets come with envelope closures. The product pages note that you can leave a message with your order if you prefer zipper closures. For the same combinations in other weights, see silk bedding sets.
25 Momme Bedding Size Specifications
The fitted sheet is cut with a 16-inch (40 cm) pocket and an elastic edge. Measure your mattress height, including any topper or pad, before ordering. The size options and the size chart on each listing give these measurements:
- Twin fitted sheet 39" x 75" + 16", flat sheet 66" x 96", duvet cover 67" x 87"
- Full fitted sheet 54" x 75" + 16", flat sheet 81" x 96"
- Queen fitted sheet 60" x 80" + 16", flat sheet 91" x 102", duvet cover 87" x 90"
- King fitted sheet 78" x 80" + 16", flat sheet 102" x 108", duvet cover 104" x 92"
- Cal. King fitted sheet 72" x 84" + 16", flat sheet 102" x 110", duvet cover 110" x 96"
A California King is longer and narrower than a King, so the two are not interchangeable. For a Full duvet cover, check the measurement shown on the listing you choose.
Matching Colors Across Pieces
If you plan to buy a set and a single sheet or duvet cover separately, choose the same color name on each. Color lists vary from one listing to the next. Teal, for example, is offered on the single sheets and the duvet cover but not on every set, and some sets add two-tone choices such as LightGray+White. Confirm your color on each listing before you order.
Caring for Silk Bedding
Large pieces need the same gentle routine as a pillowcase: water no warmer than 35°C (95°F), a silk detergent, and pressing instead of rubbing or wringing, as our care guide sets out. Wash large pieces one at a time. Dry them in the shade, never in a tumble dryer. If you iron, use the lowest setting with a pressing cloth on the reverse side.
